Last night back to this restaurant. Actually more on the restaurant. The restaurant has become a Mecca when it comes to food, inspiration, and most important the extraordinary art. A French chef with the name Paul Roux started the small hotel and restaurant in an old rustic building in the early 1920’s. He had a huge appreciation of art and was more than happy to let artists stay and eat for free in exchange of their art work. And so they did. The hotel is breathtaking. All walls are filled with art from all kind of artists including Picasso and Matisse. And you can see why La Colombe d’Or became such a desired place for artists. Thumbs up!
